Thanks for commenting. Iโm glad to hear this resonated. I think a lot of autistic people struggle within neurotypical gender roles. I just find the whole concept ridiculous because throughout history and geographically what is feminine of masculine changes or in fact switches. I wish we had more space for everyone to safely express themselves.
Thank you so much for sharing this, Sarah! ๐งก ๐ All your "what if" questions are a beautiful approach to a world where we can all be whatever we are, together--even if we're all different to each other. I support you and I love you and I'm here for every minute of you being authentically yourself. โจ
๐๐ฅณCongratulations, and thank you for trusting us with this part of you! To anybody that tries to challenge any parts of how you identify (ie nonbinary but also as a mother) โ the way my (cis) brain sees it is that this is YOUR identity and therefore YOU get to define what that means for you.
I hope that those who are important to you are loving and supportive, and that those who are not important to you are either loving and supportive or have the decency keep their mouths shut about something that does not affect them. โฅ
I love the way you weave your boundaries into your invitations. Totally support you not taking questions and letting people know they can exit with out announcing it. I for one feel even more motivated to stay! Thank you for being you and sharing what feels comfortable to share as you go! โจ๐โจ
Hooray! Youโre awesome Sarah. I agree that the assumptions society makes about gender and sexuality can be exhausting. Thanks for sharing and happy coming out!!! ๐ ๐
Yes. Iโm here for it. ๐๐ผ๐ฅ๐๐ณ๏ธโ๐ Thank you for sharing this, especially the way you did, and trusting us. I want to create, support and live in a world where all this is possible. ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
Sarah, thank you for showing the rest of us how to do hard things. Stepping into your courage and allowing your vulnerability to sit in the front seat by writing this post. In doing so you empower the rest of us to take a good hard look at ourselves.
