To me, you seem to manage to produce prolifically while also through genuine authenticity, which I hope is an encouragement. You're an inspiration, and I'm both jealous of and admiring your growth this past year. It's beautiful.
"So instead of being driven by time, which is not real, I’m going to try something new. Posting when I have something I must share. And embracing the fact that frequency will vary." Yes, yes, yes! I'm trying to follow a similar flow. It's a work in progress, but it feels much better than forcing myself to follow a made-up schedule.
I’ve managed to remove fixed deadlines for most of my creative projects (except Substack) and it’s gone amazingly well. Things come to fruition in their own time and I am less stressed and overwhelmed. I’ve never even considered doing that here, but it already feels freeing.
The time piece is a hard one for me, also. I don’t understand how people do anything of any note in less than half a day 😅 and it’s beginning to cause a lot of personal anxiety that I just don’t have the same amount of ‘time’ in a day as other people.
But. This is the first time I’ve read someone else say similar so thank you 🙏🏼❤️
Before kids I just sunk time into projects and had enough bandwidth to reset carry on. But time is so rare now. 😭 I used to think it was perfectionism - and there was definitely a layer of that - but even accepting or embracing flaws it just takes me time to process things. Doing things quickly is not my strength, but it’s going to be SO thorough. 😂
Congrats on the milestone 👏🏽 and so much of this is relatable - the human jungle gym, the “must” post content, the spending hours on a short post! As im relatively new here I’m excited to listen to the sensory modulation episode sometime today! Cheers to 2024!
I don't normally choose a word for the year but I felt called to choose connection this year, when I paused to think about what I want my life to be. Connecting makes my heart soar and though I don't know what form it will take I want to connect with people in a real way and, where possible, in person.
I'm hoping to host more in person events to bring people together and I'm also hoping to work on a book.

Thank you Jocelyn. That means a lot. This year has been a wild ride! It was so nice to check in with you at various points. I appreciate you. ❤️

Well done on the ‘500 kind people’ 👏🏼💫👏🏼 I wouldn’t know what schedule is but it sounds like a good idea...in theory! 😆 x
Schedules are overrated! 😭

Thank you Lindsey! Let me know what you think. And solidarity to all the human jungle gyms! 🛝
